New Patient Acupuncture Visit Options
*All Initial Acu visits include: new patient consultation + treatment + treatment plan + herbal medicine, TCM dietary wisdom, & lifestyle counseling (when appropriate)
Initial Acupuncture Visit (90 minutes) $180
This 90 minute visit includes a 60 minute comprehensive new patient examination and a 30 minute personalized acupuncture treatment. This appointment accounts for time to thoughtfully prescribe herbal medicine, TCM dietary wisdom, or nutritional supplements when appropriate. Optional add-ons: electro-acupuncture, cupping, and gua sha.
Initial Focused Acupuncture Visit (75 minutes) $160
This focused 75 minute new patient visit accounts for a shorter discussion and history taking. It includes a 45 minute new patient examination and 30 minute personalized acupuncture treatment focusing on one main complaint. This appointment still accounts for enough time to thoughtfully prescribe herbal medicine, TCM dietary wisdom, or nutritional supplements, if applicable. Optional add-ons: electro-acupuncture, cupping, and gua sha.
Initial Sports Acupuncture Visit (100 minutes) $230
For new patients seeking a more hands-on, orthopedic approach to acupuncture for injury recovery, pain relief, or physical strain. This visit includes a thorough health and injury intake through a Traditional Chinese Medicine lens to understand the root of your pain and how it connects to the whole system. Treatment time is more focused and hands-on than a traditional acupuncture visit, supporting the smooth flow of qi and blood to restore function and resilience. Your session may include acupuncture with electrical stimulation (E-Stim), along with cupping or gua sha as needed. Herbal and lifestyle recommendations may be offered to support your healing. Herbal formulas and supplements are priced separately.

Initial Herbal Medicine Visit (75 min) $150
This office visit is for first-time patients seeking herbal medicine, nutritional therapy, or lifestyle modifications rooted in the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During the session, we will review your health history, current symptoms, and wellness goals, and provide individualized recommendations. Herbal medicine is available in the clinic, but if the right formula is not in stock at the time of treatment or if a custom formula is desired, Darla will send you a personalized plan via email with the option to have your prescription shipped directly to your door.
Telehealth Initial Herbal Medicine Visit (75 min) $150

This telehealth appointment is for first-time patients seeking herbal medicine, nutritional therapy, or lifestyle modifications rooted in the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During the session, we will review your health history, current symptoms, and wellness goals, and provide individualized recommendations. Your personalized prescription will be sent via email with the option for you to have it shipped directly to your door! *For patients located in California at the time of service only.

This 60 minute appointment is for returning patients and includes a 30 minute check-in as well as 30 minutes of a curated, personalized treatment. Time is reserved to review current symptoms, discuss any updates to your health and wellness goals, and provide an individualized acupuncture treatment. Herbal medicine, lifestyle, and dietary wisdom rooted in TCM can be incorporated. Optional add-ons: electro-acupuncture, cupping, and gua sha.

A focused follow-up acupuncture session designed for ongoing care to be more accessible. This 35 minute visit includes a brief check-in and a personalized acupuncture treatment addressing one main concern. This appointment is for acupuncture only and does not include the option for add-ons.

This appointment is for existing patients seeking only gua sha or cupping services. The session is shorter than a standard acupuncture visit but still includes a brief check-in to review current symptoms and wellness goals.

These upgrades are chosen when appropriate for your constitution and condition. If Darla thinks you will benefit from any of the add-ons, she will let you know before beginning treatment — which is also a great time to let her know if you are wanting to upgrade your visit.

Insurance Information
Dr. Darla Chenin, LAc, DAcHM, is not currently participating in any insurance network and is considered an out-of-network provider.
If you have out-of-network acupuncture benefits, Darla is happy to provide a superbill with all the details your insurance company needs. You can then submit the superbill for possible reimbursement, making it easier to use your benefits.
